Need extra money to pay your bills or to get by until your next payday? “Pawning” is the process of obtaining a cash loan on the estimated value of your item.  Pawnbroking is not a new practice nor does it appeal to just one social class. As humankind’s oldest financial institution, pawn loans can be traced back at least 3,000 years to ancient China as well as early Greek and Roman civilizations. During the 14th Century, King Edward III of England is said to have frequented pawn stores in Europe and in Spain, Queen Isabella is reported to have pawned her royal jewels to finance Christopher Columbus’ voyage to the New World.

HOW TO PAWN YOUR ITEM

​The pawn process is easy and takes just a few minutes to complete.  When you visit our shop with the item you want to pawn, we will determine the fair market value by researching various sources to determine what your item is worth in terms of today's dollar.  We then will tell you what we are willing to loan you on the item, depending upon the condition, current market demand and time of year. Typically we loan anywhere from 10% up to 50% of the items value or worth.

If you decide to accept our loan value for the item, completion of a simple form along with verification of your identity (a government issued U.S. Identification Card, like a State issued Drivers License) will get you the cash that you need and we will hold your item as collateral while you repay the loan for up to 90 days.

 

LOAN TERMS

• The loan terms are regulated by the State of Washington based upon the following:

• Term of loan is for 90 days with unlimited renewals

• Interest due on loan for every 30 day period

• Interest rate based upon amount loaned up to a maximum 4% for loans over $100.00

• Additional Fees apply to lost tickets and the preparation of loan documents

• For each 30 day period additional fees may apply to your loan:

• $5.00 Storage Fee

• $5.00 Additional Storage Fee for Firearms
